How I Built This Portfolio Using Lovable

I shipped this portfolio in a single afternoon using Lovable, an AI app builder that turns conversational prompts into a production React + Vite codebase. Here is exactly how I did it — and how you can clone the workflow.

Why Lovable for a developer portfolio

As a Laravel full stack developer with 10+ years of experience working on freelance web projects, my time is better spent on client work than wrestling with CSS gradients. Lovable handled the heavy lifting: design tokens, semantic color system, animation, and a clean component structure I can keep extending.

Step 1 — Define the brand

I started with a clear creative brief: bold, vibrant, glow-accented, never minimalist. Lovable picked up the cue and generated a hero with animated glow orbs, a cohesive HSL token palette in index.css, and a typographic system using Inter + JetBrains Mono.

Step 2 — Build section by section

Instead of asking for "a whole portfolio," I requested one section at a time: hero, skills, projects, experience, contact. Each prompt produced a small focused component. This kept the architecture clean and the iterations fast.

Pro tip: small prompts beat mega-prompts every time. Lovable's output quality scales inversely with prompt scope.

Step 3 — Add real superpowers

Once the shell looked right, I layered in the features that actually move the needle:

    • Client-side resume PDF generated in the browser using jspdf
    • Anti-bot contact obfuscation so my email and WhatsApp survive scrapers
    • Flexible ad system that swaps between Google AdSense and affiliate banners via a single config file
    • StackForge — this very tutorials hub, powered by Markdown files

Step 4 — Ship and iterate

Lovable previews help with iteration. For this repository, run the checks and production build, inspect the generated pages, and deploy the complete output to the host.

    Try it yourself

If you want the same workflow — fast iteration, clean code you actually own, zero boilerplate — give Lovable a spin. Review the current product and plan details before choosing a workflow.
